I have been thinking long and hard about this one. I have been thinking about opening my own business in Massage Therapy. This is due to the fact that I think it might be a great idea to be ones own boss. It’s alot of work, but I know of people who have started their own business and have been sucessful at it. Anyhow, this was just a thought of mine.
Last night on CNBC they had a whole segment on entrepenuers. One of the ones that really struck me was the two male models that went from modeling clothes in catalogs to starting their own granola line called FEED. I am sure that if you have shopped at Wholefoods or other health stores in your area, that you have seen this brand.
They started out in their small apartment kitchen in NYC, and moved into a rented kitchen in NYC once they realized that they needed more space. And that the demand for their product was growing. This story is inspiring to many of us who wish to start their own business. Those who wish to do something else with their lives besides their boring old day job.
So to all of you entrepeurs out there, keep your head held high and go for your dreams.
Where is the best and most inexpensive place to start out?
Well, the cheapist way to gather information is by doing some research on the internet. For example: if you do a google search on t shirts you can find many articles on how to start a t shirt business. You can also go to youtube and find alot of videos on how to start your own t shirt business.
I would reccomend that you search t shirt riches. I find them to be one of the best places to get the latest information on t shirt designs, heat presses, and transfer paper. Your Special Talents
You use your talents in many ways, one to show people that you actually have one, and second in order to be sucessful in your job/career. For example: if you are talent at playing the guitar, and you have always thought of starting your own business in giving guitar lessons, then by all means, give it a try. If you are a talented baker, then why not start your own cookie making business or bakery?
I hope Fleet Feet accepts my proposal for not only doing foot massages at the store for customers but also for selling my t shirts. I have some new and wonderful t shirt designs that I am kind of excited about putting together. Yes, they are allaborate and abstract, but my desgins are usually like that. Well, we shall see what happens.

Not bad, but it changed alot since the last time I was there.
Too bad. I use to like the fact that they sold more than clothing. For example: they use to sell frames, photos, cute martini glass sets all kinds of fun stuff. However, that is ALL gone now. Maybe my other idea is to bring it back?
My Fleet Feet Proposal
Fleet Feet is a store that specializes in running shoes for all those who enjoy running. They customize each shoe to fit your needs. And provide you with the proper measurements so that you do not experience pain in your feet or ankles.
Anyway, my ideas was to possibly provide foot and reflexology massages to customers who feel that their feet are in need of more than just a new pair of shoes. Additionally, I have begun designing t shirts and was also wondering whether or not it would be possible to sell my t shirts at Fleet Feet. It was an idea that I have had for a while, but somehow, I never followed through. Anyhow, ideas are what make life interesting and I guess is one of the keys to happiness.
I was doing a little research on starting a t shirt or clothing line business. According to one entreprenuer, one of the best ways to go about convincing a shop to sell your line is to become a regular shopping customer. That way, you get a chance to network with the employees and maybe even a few customers. This defintiely helps me out alot since I plan on starting my own business in t shirts and of course gift boxes. Maybe South Moon Under is a good place to go to? If you had that kind of money which I don’t have! Then I thought of Costco, a wholesale store where you can not only buy food in bulk but you can also buy computers, stereos, phones, and clothes. They might be interested no? We shall see what happens. But for now, I was wondering what do you think? South Moon Under, or Costco? Or even Spencers might not be a bad place. They have sales don’t they? And nothing that they have is too expensive is it? Anyhow, I will let you know more later.

I was told by one of my relatives the other day that a woman that she knew use to have a gift basket business. She was doing really well up until the economy collaspe. She use to have a warehouse full of gift baskets in which she send to various businesses around the Washington DC area.
Sadly, she no longer sells that many baskets to business anymore because the businesses can no longer afford to buy them. So in saying that, I will def. not have a gift box business that is that upscale just something small. However, I am very glad that she informed me about that. Cause it’s best when you get advice from everyone before you go into something that turns out to be a problem.
Anyhow, just a short story.

Shop Set Up Ideas

Discuss how and where you will set up your home office. What problems might you encounter with your home office and how do you plan to overcome these challenges?
The places that I would possibly set up shop are:
2. Problems with setting up shop in the the 3 areas mentioned above:
Garage
Cars would have to park outside and that might be a problem on snowy days or when leaving on vacation.
Basement
3. Probably the best place would be the basement however, the problem would be that we have a whole enteratinment system in the basement and that might cause problems. We also have a bar where we like to entertain for partys and get togethers. So that might be another problem.
Closet is the winner!!
4. The best place would be my closet. This way we wouldnt have trouble with moving things around or changing where we watch tv or entertain. We wouldnt have to move any cars either.
Plus I could move stuff into my mom’s extra closet since hers in bigger than mine and can hold more space. I would also not have to throw anything out. I could have my t shirts hung and the equipment as long as it isnt too big set up in the middle of the closet. The only problem would be my shoes. But I could but some down in the storage room in the basement.

It’s really not easy to start one’s own business. Coming up with a place to actually sell your products from is the worst. But the hardest part is figuring out just how to get all of your materials together. Where is the cheapest place to buy your supplys from? Well, that was my mission today. To find the cheapest place to purchase my gift boxes. I came across a wholesale store online and decided to see what sorts of boxes they had. All of them were pretty nice but the problem was, the boxes themselves, seemed a little expensive to me. I mean, it’s just a box! You don’t need to spend 30 dollars on a box do ya?
The other thing that I searched for was how to make boxes yourself. Maybe that is a better idea than spending all the money on a bunch of wholesale boxes.
Now, as for the t shirts… I am still searching for the best place
